1. ORDER YOUR TESTING KIT ONLINE

You can order your testing kit right from our website. Once your order is complete, our logistics team will send a saliva collection unit to your address containing an easy-to-use spit kit for collecting your sample. Separately, you will be sent an email with a login code to create your account in our secure patient portal.

2. COMPLETE YOUR ONLINE MEDICAL QUESTIONNAIRE

Once you have created your account in our secure patient portal, you will be asked to complete a short medical history as part of our test review process. Don’t worry though! This questionnaire takes most people no longer than 3 - 5 minutes to complete. Our partnered, independent physician network will subsequently review your information to see if it is important in the context of your test results.

3. COLLECT AND RETURN YOUR SALIVA SAMPLE

Within a few days of placing your order, our collection kit should arrive at your door. In the kit, you can follow the instructions accompanying the collection device to help obtain your sample. There is a prepaid mailing slip that can be dropped anywhere to ensure your sample makes it back to our laboratory swiftly for analysis.

4. AWAIT LABORATORY ANALYSIS

Your sample should arrive back in laboratory within 3 business days of shipping. Once on hand, our technicians will work tirelessly to complete our process of extracting the DNA, amplifying the genes of interest, and sequencing the coding regions of these genes. The data from sequencing takes a subsequent 4 - 8 hours of processing time in our cloud-based pipeline before results are ready. Altogether this is 2 - 3 weeks of processing.

5. REVIEW RESULTS WITH A BOARD CERTIFIED GENETIC COUNSELOR

Once your results are ready, you will receive notifications via email and an alert on your secure patient portal. You will be offered the opportunity to schedule a consultation with a Board Certified Genetic Counselor to review any abnormal findings and ensure that a proper action plan is developed to achieve your best outcome.
